Kalmyk Princess Nirjidma Torgutska (1907) visited Belgrade and the Temple on 20th September 1933. She was a daughter of Prince Palta(1882 -1920) who was administrative ruler of Sinkiang province (China). Educated in the West, she lived mostly in Paris and in 1937 she returned to the homeland with her husband, a Kalmyk nobleman (zayisang) and gave a birth to two sons. After the death of spouse she married to French Counsel in Peking and returned to Paris in 1950. She died in 1983. |
