Due to extremely low
quality of the photocopy we could not determine what kind of thanka it
was.
A small thanka of Tsonkapa
(the founder of the Gelugpa school) that
once hung in the temple in Kalmykia and then in the Belgrade temple was
rescued.
The temple had a library
with many valuable manuscripts kept in boxes made of wood or enveloped
in yellow scarfs. Some of the manuscripts were written in golden letters
on black paper.
